Course OverviewPrepare Your System and Processes
Established by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA), the Drug Supply Chain Security Act* (DSCSA) focuses on protecting patients from exposure to potentially counterfeit, stolen or contaminated prescription drugs. How? By identifying and tracing prescription drugs through an electronic, interoperable supply chain.
What does this mean for Dispensers? Under the DSCSA, you are responsible for verifying products received by your pharmacies and aiding in an inquiry of a suspect or illegitimate product. Are your business processes ready for the digital supply chain? If there is an inquiry of a suspect or illegitimate product, do you know what to do?
Our 30-minute module will help answers these questions and explain how you can leverage the GS1 Systems of Standards to meet DSCSA requirements, including:
- Verifying product information
- Uniquely Identifying your pharmacy locations
- Electronically sharing transaction data with your trading partners
