Workgroup Updates

During the March meeting, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) 204 Workgroup started discussing the responses to the 2024 deliverables poll, as well as a proposal to update the current GDSN attribute guidance for FSMA 204. These discussions will continue in the next workgroup meeting, which is scheduled for April 18th from 2:00 to 3:00 PM ET.  New members interested in participating are encouraged to reach out to Manali Pradhan at mpradhan@gs1us.org. 
The Joint Product Information, Images, and Governance (PIIG) Workgroup is focusing 2024 discussions and deliverables on the GS1 GTIN Management Standard and identifying best practices for the US food and CPG industry. Members from all levels of the supply chain are working together to identify the impacts throughout the supply chain when the standard is not adhered to. The workgroup meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 2 PM ET. New members interested in participating are encouraged to reach out to Amy Behm at [email protected].
The Produce Traceability Initiative Workgroup is still open to new industry members who would like to participate. The workgroup will leverage existing efforts and solutions as it considers how the fresh produce sector can benefit from implementation to support traceability. Join Today
